With tracks that span contemporary classical, experimental electronics, trip-hop, and jazz, these artists showcase the creative and cultural energy of Iran’s capital city. We spoke with seven artists featured on the “This is Tehran?” compilation to discuss the ever-evolving musical heritage of Iran, overcoming political pressure, and the true meaning of independent art.
