Combining their hometown influence with the aesthetic of local haunted houses, Detroit stoner doom metal band Acid Witch has conjured up a theme of horror and fantasy for its music and performances. Ahead of their set at Northwest Terror Fest, we caught up with Acid Witch's frontman Slasher Dave in an email interview to see what's been brewin' in their cauldron. Hailing from the small midwestern town of Muscatine, grind-mathcore group Closet Witch released their debut self-titled album that is both as technical and precise as it intimate and personal. Ahead of their set at Northwest Terror Fest, we caught up with members of the band in this email interview to discuss the background, execution and thematic elements of the release.
