ICYMI: A roundup of our song of the week features from the month of August.

"Mumbo Sugar" -Arc De Solei

T&E writer Noa says, "An intoxicatingly groovy song from a band with no online presence. Rumor has it that the music they make is actually for stock usage / commercial purposes... Whatever this song may one day sell, I'll buy."

"Assault Lamp" - The Green Teas

T&E podcaster Mike "the Tool Man" Barnett says, "Post Rock is due for a comeback. Bigtime. And here's a song that isn't afraid to put a post in the ground and stand for something... like a lamp."

"Welcome to Paradise [Kerplunk Version]" -

 Green Day

T&E writer ronny says, "The first band I played air guitar to. The first band I listened to the first time I smoked weed ('How is Tré drumming SO fast?!'). My first major musical obsession, thanks to my older brother. Yes, it's the world's favorite Bay Area punk band, Green Day. Though I wasn't there with the hundreds of thousands of people at the most recent Outside Lands, I did watch the stream of them playing—and let all the nostalgia wash over me. My favorite song? Well, now that I live in the East Bay myself, it's gotta be 'Welcome to Paradise'. I especially love the earlier pre-Dookie version from Kerplunk, which sounds a little more like what I imagine it sounded like when they played at 924 Gilman back in the day."

"Xtasis" -  Nick León feat. DJ Babatr

T&E writer Noe says, "The sound of summer is here! This banger is igniting dancefloors for a good reason. Miami master Nick León joins Caracas producer and pioneer of the infectious raptor house genre to create a timeless and inspiring piece of dance music. Check out the remixes too!"

"Let it Happen" - Louis Cole

T&E writer Randy says, "I've been waiting for a new Louis Cole to drop for years. His 2018 album, Time, is one of the best of the decade in my opinion, so anticipation was high. I can't believe he's allowed to make music this good. The soft arrangements and key changes grows on you with repeated listens, and his vocals are as captivating as ever."
