Check out photo impressions and highlights of the Summer School Tour at the Royal Oak Music Theater in Michigan, with indie pop groups Letdown (Chicago, IL), Honey Revenge, (Los Angeles, CA), Stand Atlantic (Sydney, Australia), The Home Team (Seattle, WA), Magnolia Park (Orlando, FL), and Scene Queen (OH)

Stand Atlantic

Highlights: So much fun! The mosh pit was a vibe.

The Home Team

Picture
Highlights: I was most excited for this band. They put on a hell of a show. A giant rat and elephant walked onto the stage ahead of the band, dancing and jumping around. The energy was electric, crowd surfers hurling over the barricade at every turn. Their stage presence was powerful. I was dancing the entire time, while shooting and all.

Magnolia Park

Picture
Highlights: They began their set by tossing a bunch of beach balls into the crowd. Before they could even start their set, one of the security guards was encouraging the crowd to do a circle pit, and the band joined in.

Scene Queen

Picture
Highlights: Scene Queen always brings the feral energy to the stage, and she did not disappoint here. She ran from end to end of the stage, headbanging, screaming and kicking her Barbie pink, knee-high platform boots.

Overall, this felt like the good old days of Warped Tour were creeping their way back into modern society. Pop punks and emos filled the city, covered in tattoos, colorful hair, and probably wearing Doc Martens.
