Bassist, IDM artist, robot programmer, and all-around musical magician Tom Jenkinson is back on tour with his four-piece band, Shobaleader One. On their latest release, Elektrac, the group careens through a dozen Squarepusher tracks, transforming the old electronic pieces into something akin to jazz fusion at its most manic, ecstatic, and schizophrenic. Here are snapshots from their show in Berkeley, CA at the UC Theatre Taube Family Music Hall with Daedelus and Duffrey as support.
