Interview by Parisa Eshrati Since rejoining the group in 2019, original Meat Puppets drummer Derrick Bostrom has been drawn back into the improvisational energy of the band. "The pull of the music for me is when you can get to a place where you’re not making the decisions. Rather, the music itself is making the decisions."

By incorporating the musical styles of their ancestors with Mongolian throat singing and instruments like the tovshuur, The Hu call in the atmosphere of their homeland and connect it to an international audience.
