Bassist, IDM artist, robot programmer, and all-around musical magician Tom Jenkinson is back on tour with his four-piece band, Shobaleader One. On their latest release, Elektrac, the group careens through a dozen Squarepusher tracks, transforming the old electronic pieces into something akin to jazz fusion at its most manic, ecstatic, and schizophrenic. The 11th annual Gem and Jam festival is a music and arts gathering hosted during the Tucson Gem and Mineral show, creating a community through the participatory art workshops and diverse musical lineups.
